The 8th Summer Ball was unforgettable!

Over 9000 of you braved the elements at Lotherton Hall on Friday. Over a month’s worth of rain fell on Lotherton Hall over the 12 hours of the Summer Ball. The unpleasant weather caused a few unexpected problems on site and was a real challenge for everyone at the Ball. In the eight years that the Ball has been running, we have never seen weather like we had on Friday night.

Thank you to everyone who braved the rain and unusually cold temperatures. The arenas and dance floors were packed all night. The atmosphere in the tents was electric thanks to you! All of the photos that have sprung up on Facebook go to show that it takes more than a bit of bad weather to dampen the spirits of Leeds students!

Have a great summer; let’s hope that the weather improves!
