The Bacchae

How would it feel if someone else was the master of your body and mind? Dionysus, is a young god who returns to Thebes to avenge for his mother’s death, prove his divine origin and introduce his religion of blood and wine.
An extraordinary tragedy, considered as the best ever written play, Bacchae unravels the corporeal poetry of the existential negotiations between materiality and consciousness, body and mind, the rational and the instinctive. The performance is a movement-based exploration of mental absence, suffering and corporeal fragmentation, gender, trans-formation and sexuality; religion and violence.
Diverse audiences and people with hearing disability are particularly
welcome.
